Keefektifan bionematisida Netamax-FP Unila dalam mengendalikan nematoda parasit tumbuhan pada jambu kristal merah

Abstract

Crystal guava is a new variety of jambu Muangthai Pak introduced in Indonesia by the Taiwan Technical Mission. In Lampung, this guava was seriously attacked by plant parasitic nematodes especially toot knot nematode (Meloidogyne spp.)  Before, the nematodeswas controlled with synthetic chemical nematicides. The use of these chemicals has many harmful impacts, including environmental pollution and health hazards to humans. Therefore, the friendly control techniques have been developed, one of which is the use of the Netamax-FP Unila bionematicide with active ingredient Purpureocillium lilacinum fungi.This purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the bionematicide Netamax-FP Unila in controlling populations of plant parasitic nematodes on red crystal guava plants at PT Great Giant Food (GGF). The experiment was conducted in the crystal guava plantation field of PT Great Giant Food (GGF), Central Lampung, from September 2023 to February 2024. Soil samples in the experimental plots were taken twice, 7 days before and 60 days after the bionematicide application. Nematode extraction and identification were performed at the Plant Pest Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. Besides the population of plant parasitic nematodes, another variable measured was plant growth. The results showed that the application of Netamax-FP Unila bionemticide effective to reduce the population of plant parasitic nematodes, the population of plant parasitic nematodes in plots treated with the Netamax-FP Unila bionematicide was lower than that in plot treated with biopesticides Liquid Organic Biofertilizer (LOB).
